An unforgettable night with Luz Casal at El Vilar de la Duquessa

A magical night, an unforgettable artist, and a setting that made it all possible. As part of the Nits de la Duquessa festival, El Vilar de la Duquessa dressed up last Saturday to host Luz Casal in an intimate and moving concert that is now part of the hotel’s history. Music, emotion, nature, and culture came together in a unique experience in the heart of Cardona.
On Saturday, July 26, 2025, El Vilar de la Duquessa experienced one of the most special evenings in its history. Galician artist Luz Casal delivered an intimate, powerful and emotional concert as part of the Nits de la Duquessa cultural cycle. More than 600 guests enjoyed a unique experience that turned Cardona into the epicenter of musical sensitivity and cultural elegance for one night.
From the moment the first guests arrived, the atmosphere was exceptional: nature, architecture, music and emotion came together in a setting like no other. At 8:30 p.m., as the sun set behind the hills and a hush of anticipation filled the air, Luz Casal took the stage with her signature elegance and calm. What followed was more than a concert — it was a celebration of life, music and human connection.
With a setlist that blended her most iconic songs —such as Entre mis recuerdos or Piensa en mí— with pieces from her latest album Las ventanas de mi alma (2023), the artist captivated the audience from the very first note. Her voice, both powerful and tender, wrapped the open-air stage of El Vilar in a truly magical atmosphere.
After the concert, guests enjoyed an open-air dinner featuring locally sourced cuisine served in the hotel’s gardens, and toasted under the stars in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. The evening continued with a DJ session and full bar service, bringing the perfect close to a night full of shared emotions and unforgettable moments.
The evening also welcomed several notable figures from the political, economic and cultural spheres, including former MEP Ramon Tremosa, Barcelona Oberta president Gabriel Jené, and Cardona’s mayor Lluïsa Aliste. Aliste valued the concert positively, thanking the Torres family for the commitment of the Vilar de la Duquessa and Les Nits de la Duquessa: "It is a powerful differential fact for Cardona".
This concert was also the final Luz Casal performance in Spain before she begins her international tour. A true privilege for El Vilar de la Duquessa, for Cardona, and for all those lucky enough to attend.
